TESTIMONIALS

Learn about the many positive impacts Emma has made...

...AS A TEACHER

When I got the message from Emma Vogel asking me to write a testimonial for her website, I was both excited and unsure. How can I fit so much about a person in a few sentences? Having a teacher like her has changed so much of my life. Not only did she teach me English, she taught me the importance of kindness and responsibility; in and out of school. Even though she’s not my teacher anymore, in the classroom sense at least, I still take both of these virtues away from her. I’m beyond grateful to have Emma in my life, not only as a teacher, but as a leader, role model, and inspiration.

- Ali, former student, age 16

...AS AN ACTING COACH

Emma Vogel is a very kind, encouraging, positive, and supportive teacher. She is willing to help you build your acting skills no matter what level of experience you have. Emma always started our lessons with engaging warm-ups that would get me excited for what was next. She is always willing to help tailor your experience to things that you want to learn more about or work on. Emma helped me feel much more confident in my acting ability and skill set. Whenever our session was over, I was always excited for the next one to come! I am thankful that she helped me grow more as an actress and student, and I can’t wait for our future private lessons and group coursework this Fall.

- Aari, current student, age 14

...AS A DIRECTOR

Over the years I have grown tremendously as a performer under the direction of Emma Vogel. During the shows I was a part of, I was able to step out of my comfort zone, attain more confidence, and overall grow as an individual. Emma is caring, creative, inspiring, and dedicated which greatly reflects on her students and the productions she has been a part of and directed.

Peyton, former student, age 19

...AS A PROFESSIONAL

Emma Vogel is the type of person who has the skills, and abilities to make an instantaneous impact on students, colleagues, parents, and community. One of Emma’s best talents is listening to her students and colleagues while connecting on a level where she can understand where they are and surround them with the tools and support they need to grow. Emma is a positive educator who consistently creates a classroom atmosphere where each and every student is treated with respect. The power of positive praise and genuine care that she has displayed while working with a small group in the classroom or a large group while directing the spring musical
demonstrates her ability to understand how encouragement can make the difference in a student’s school and community life. Her demeanor of high expectations is communicated through a soft yet inspiring voice. It is my sincere privilege to know and work with such a genuine, hard working educator.

- Heather, former boss, principal of Belleville High School
